Dan Song is a visual artist, a painter, who currently lives and works in Stockholm, Sweden. In Dan's work, the artist fully embodies colors through a variety of media including oil, watercolor, acrylic, soft pastel, and oil pastel. The motifs draw inspirations from theatre, movies, contemporary social-political issues and basic human conditions. Human figures are the center of the subjects, which also include still life, nature and interiors.

Dan is an alumna of the Donghua University in Shanghai where she received her Bachelor's degree in a combined artistic and engineering program in 2000. Her specialization was in fashion figure drawing which laid out the foundation and her interest in figurative painting. Though she continued her postgraduate study and career in the track of engineering and technology in the U.S. and later in Sweden, she never gave up to harness her creative mind and continued with art studies in Basis Konstskola, an art school in Stockholm. Since 2023, Dan has been fully dedicated towards art and painting.
